FAQ
Is Injex for me?
Most people who need to take insulin or other injection therapies can
use Injex. Plus, using Injex in public is much more discreet than needle
injections. Injex is also a safer alternative to needles for healthcare
professionals administering subcutaneous injections in the hospital or
clinic.
How does Injex feel?
Most people who have switched from taking insulin with a needle find
Injex less painful, reporting only a slight sensation of pressure against
the skin. Injex eliminates much of the discomfort of needle injections - a
major benefit for anyone who needs to take insulin.
Can I mix different insulins?
Yes. You can mix insulin types with Injex just like you would with a needle
and syringe. Injex delivers all commonly used U-100 insulin types.
Does my health plan cover Injex?
Many health plans reimburse for Injex. Typically the Injex starter kit is covered
as a medical benefit and the disposable ampules and vial adapters may be covered
either under the medical or pharmacy benefit. To find out if your health plan
covers Injex, follow the step-by-step instructions in the Injex Insurance
Verification Guide or talk to your pharmacist. Some
health plans may require a Letter of Medical Necessity
from your physician in order to approve coverage for Injex. Click on the links

Is Injex effective?
Yes. Several studies have been completed to verify the safety and effectiveness
of Injex. These studies include pharmacokinetics, retention of potency, and clinical
immunogenicity. Here is a summary review of some of the key studies completed at this
time (click on the study name to read the full summary).
